As fellow travellers ourselves, we have designed the space to meet the needs of working travellers, domestic and international tourists to create a space that truly feels like a home away from home. The space is tastefully furnished with furniture and fittings from Herman Miller, Eames, Kohler, George Nelson, Pendleton, and Marimekko. It is also equipped with the latest technology for your enjoyment and relaxation when the tourist or working day is done (or you hit a rainy day). There is zero compromise on safety with our Ring alarm and external camera system, nest smoke and monoxide alarms, sprinkler system, and the readily accessible first aid kit.
Beds, Linen, Toiletries
A comfortable night’s sleep is the mainstay (and the potential pitfall) of travel. Our guests can enjoy the spacious comfort of king and queens sized beds with Casper mattresses, high thread bed sheets, and white noise machines in each room. We provide ample towels and face cloths, a high powered hair dryer for a proper blow out, and eco-friendly toiletries from Public Goods. The high capacity Samsung washer and dryer can handle all of your group’s washing.
Everything’s Catered For
We are mindful of how useful it can be to be able to properly cook when travelling. We offer a fully kitted kitchen with premium appliances and Sub Zero and Wolf equipment. You will find many basic ingredients to help you with cooking, as well as a French Press for your coffee needs. There are numerous local supermarkets as well as grocery deliver services and an exceptional local bakery for you to stock up.
Entertainment For all
The guest house is equipped with the latest electronics and traditional entertainment. We have high-powered multi-port chargers around the house to top up your devices. For sounds you have wonderful Marshall Stanmore bluetooth speakers in each lounge. There is also a turntable in each lounge with a choice selection of vinyl. In the second lounge downstairs you can enjoy watching movies and on demand TV (Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and more) on the LG Full HD projector / Apple TV. You can also enjoy some old school family board games such as Monopoly, Sorry, Scrabble, Cluedo, Connect 4, Uno, and Jenga.
Outdoor Spaces
Guests have access to their own outdoor space at the rear of the house to relax, read, eat and drink. The Japanese inspired garden is designed by an award winning Chelsea Flower Show designer, offering a slice of zen after a hectic day in the city. Guests are able to enjoy private space under the rear deck with an outdoor table and chairs. We do ask that guests do not smoke outside in the rear garden.
Remote Work Ready
To accommodate the 'remote work' traveller and digital nomads, we have set the place up for both work as well as play. We have two dedicated working spaces in addition to a pop up coffee table and side table for work at the couch, providing you with multiple options for getting real work done. The internet is fast and stable Verizon gigabit ethernet distributed via an enterprise-grade Ubiquiti UniFi system for multi-device and work use. We also provide two professional grade LG 27" 4K monitors (HDMI, USB-C, DP connection) as second screens with several current connector cables, and two 10" light rings for video conferencing lighting.
Family Friendly Travel
As a family operation, we understand the stress of travelling with a young family. That’s why we have taken every effort to provide all of the equipment you’d normally need to carry with you. For young families we provide two Graco Pack 'n Play cribs as well as bedding and towels, two highchairs, as well as child safe plates and spoons. We will install a baby gate upon request for peace of mind. Older kids love the downstairs entertainment lounge and usually banish their parents upstairs!
